Betty Dworkin and her husband Eli held a weekend-long garage sale to benefit ECF families in the Eastern Region on September 26 and 27. “With all the neighbors and friends who came together, we made over $1500.00. But to make things even nicer, two ECF families showed up to sing our praises,” Betty told us. Years ago, Betty used to deliver groceries to one of these families, so she was especially pleased to see them. Helping Betty were volunteers Mary Shamilian and her daughter Jamie, Jean Charte, a group of teenaged boys to do the lifting, and several neighbors to help set up. We are thankful to them all, and to all who came out to support this sale.
